ALONG AN UNSEEN PATH
Kathryn Mapes Turner & Jacob Aguiar

Artist Reception September 6th, 5-7pm
Each piece starts with a white piece of paper or a blank canvas. Beyond the initial seed of inspiration, is exploration and mystery. As the creative process of painting unfolds, it reveals something altogether new made visible. What’s important is to move forward on this unseen path. - Kathryn Mapes Turner

Exhibition Overview

Each piece starts with a white piece of paper or a blank canvas. Beyond the initial seed of inspiration, is exploration and mystery. As the creative process of painting unfolds, it reveals something all together new made visible. What’s important is to move forward on this unseen path. - Kathryn Mapes Turner

As a landscape painter, I attempt to convey the feeling of a place, the quality of light, the season, the atmosphere. I enjoy deepening my experience of place by painting on location or taking reference photos to paint from when back in my studio. The diversity of the American landscape offers constant inspiration and motivation to more closely represent in pigment what I feel while out in nature. - Jacob Aguiar
