Rose's paintings inject life and wonder into any space, drawing in those who respond to authenticity and revel in nature.
Stephanie Rose lives in Wyoming - a place where life is shaped by harsh climatic conditions. Her paintings are songs about the swiftly changing and sublime nature of this vast land and sky, and to the tenacious spirit it engenders. Open space is a compelling subject which invites contemplation and creativity - to do more with less and express how it feels to be in a place.
Her work crosses the borders between representational and abstract expression; at times colors and images from more realist works appearing in abstract paintings. Oil paint and oil pastel are the mediums with which she works.

Inside the studio, she weaves together observations, emotions and memories. When unexpected connections occur, coherent visual statements emerge. When a painting sparks awe, she knows it is complete. Her studio paintings are predominately abstract.
