Wild Lore Story Slam at Turner Fine Art
This August, Wild Lore invites us to experience wildlife through both art and story. Alongside the exhibition, Turner Fine Art is hosting its first-ever Story Slam, where local naturalists, conservation voices, and community members will share personal encounters with the wild. These stories echo the artwork on the walls, reminding us that some of our most meaningful experiences with nature live on not only in paintings, but in the memories we carry and the stories we pass along.
Join us on Thursday, August 20th for an evening of art, conversation, and storytelling as Jackson Hole locals John Turner,Mark Goecke, and Kate McGowan share memorable wildlife encounters and the experiences that have shaped their connection to this place. Following their stories, we invite you to add your own voice and share a wildlife memory with the community. Together, we'll celebrate the moments that become part of our shared wild lore.
As you explore the exhibition, you'll discover paintings, sculpture, and original prints inspired by these same moments of wonder. Each work reflects a unique encounter with the natural world, encouraging us to consider the stories carried in movement, landscape, and wildlife.
