"Take it from me: Lessons in time and gratitude" | Katy Ann Fox's New Collection at Turner Fine Art
This October, Turner Fine Art is excited to welcome a new collection of paintings by Katy Ann Fox, Take It From Me: Lessons in Time and Gratitude. This body of work is rooted in gratitude. Gratitude for the places that have given Katy time to know herself, and for the people who have shared stories, offered advice, and reminded her why she paints.
Take It From Me: Lessons in Time and Gratitude opens at Turner Fine Art on October 1, with an opening reception on October 2 from 5–7 PM. We also invite you to join us for the Third Thursday Gallery Walk on October 15 from 5–7 PM. We hope you’ll stop by, spend some time with the collection, and enjoy these lessons in time, memory, and immense gratitude.

The inspiration behind the collection, in Katy's words:
I'm finding that most times it takes visiting a place more than once or meeting a person and then spending time together and time apart to know what they shared with me and why I loved them so much. This body of work speaks to that common ground, repeated scenery, shared inspiration and gratitude for the time it takes to see things come back around. I think of these paintings as a diary entry I am pleased to share publicly as it showcases my continued quest to feel, see, and add to my mark making toolbox. They add volume to quiet moments and memories I wish to revisit time and time again. The scale of things, both physically and emotionally, have played a major role in how I developed these paintings.
