Turner Fine Art's Guide to Fall Arts Festival 2026

September is one of the most exciting times of year in Jackson. The town comes alive with artists, collectors, galleries, and visitors, and there is always something new to see around town. Fall Arts is a wonderful reflection of Jackson’s creative spirit and the many artists who are drawn to this place.

The Land That Raised Me Opens 

September 8

The Land That Raised Me, featuring Kathryn Mapes Turner, opens on September 8th. The collection looks at the landscapes of Jackson Hole that have shaped Kathryn’s life and work, from the places she grew up exploring to the landscape that continues to inspire her. It is a personal look at the land through the eyes of an artist who has spent a lifetime painting it.

Join us for an evening of art, food, and drinks and an opportunity to spend time with Kathryn Mapes Turner. Kathryn will share more about her process, inspirations, and the experiences that have shaped her work, offering a closer look at the ideas and stories behind The Land That Raised Me.

Triangle X Ranch Paint Out

September 13 | Tickets Required 

Join Turner Fine Art at the historic Triangle X Ranch for an afternoon of plein air painting in the heart of Grand Teton National Park. Watch Kathryn Mapes Turner, Julie Davis, Katy Ann Fox, and Monique Wales work in the landscape, ask questions about their process and inspiration, and learn how they translate the changing light, wildlife, and character of the valley onto the canvas. It’s an opportunity to spend time with the artists, see their work unfold in real time, and experience this special place through their eyes.

Monique Wales Demonstration

September 14 & 15

Monique Wales will be at the gallery demonstrating her reduction printmaking process. Watching an artist work in person offers a different appreciation for the finished piece, and guests will have the opportunity to see Monique’s process, ask questions, and learn more about how she approaches her work.

Western Visions Show & Sale 

September 17 | 5 PM at the National Musuem of Wildlife Art | Tickets Required 

Western Visions is one of the highlights of Fall Arts, bringing together some of the country’s leading wildlife artists and collectors at the National Museum of Wildlife Art. We’re especially excited to see Turner Fine Art artists Kathryn Mapes Turner, Paul Rhymer, Renso Tamse, Gunnar Tryggmo, Monique Wales, William Alther, Ray Brown and Walter Matia represented in this year’s show. It’s a wonderful celebration of wildlife, the natural world, and the many ways artists interpret the places and creatures that inspire them.

Quick Draw + Auction

September 19 | 8 AM at the Town Sqaure | Tickets Required for Auction 

Quick Draw is one of the most exciting mornings of Fall Arts. Kathryn Mapes Turner will join artists from around the country as they have just 90 minutes to create a painting from start to finish. It’s a wonderful opportunity to watch the creative process unfold and see how each artist responds to the landscape in the moment.

Sunday Art Brunch

September 20 | 11 AM–3 PM

The Festival wraps up at Turner Fine Art with brunch bites, Bloody Marys, and mimosas while guests explore Kathryn Mapes Turner’s work. Come by for one last morning at the gallery and a chance to enjoy the final hours of Fall Arts.
