Miniature Lupine (aka Lupinus bicolor) is a diminutive plant compared to its bigger and showier cousins. However, this hard working native is the first lupine to show up (as early as February!) and the last to leave (as late as August) on the studio’s 12 acres. When blooming en masse, it gives a subtle blue hued carpet effect and the birds love it, landing and flitting about in droves!
