"This Nest Series linocut was inspired by a local artist friend's door wreath, which had been appropriated by a Scrub-Jay for it's nest! A quick remodel was all that was needed. They are very cheeky, these Jays, but are hard workers in the oak woodlands of California. Their loud squawking can be heard year around at the studio and they are frequent guests at my studio feeder!"
